The ACMP SoCal Chapter hosted its Annual Chapter Member Experience event, a celebration of our accomplishments and an opportunity to set the tone for 2025. Attendees engaged with chapter leaders, explored the year’s key achievements, and participated in strategic discussions that shaped the chapter’s future. For those who couldn’t join, here are the highlights of this engaging event.
President’s Message and Leadership Transition
Outgoing chapter president Vera Flame delivered an inspiring message reflecting on the chapter’s milestones in 2024, highlighting the adoption of design thinking to refine offerings and engage members meaningfully. Vera announced the leadership transition, introducing Carrie Clark as the incoming president starting January 1, 2025. Vera praised Carrie’s warmth and contributions, emphasizing her exciting vision for the chapter.

Design Thinking Initiatives: The chapter undertook a comprehensive effort to understand member needs, incorporating surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews. Insights led to new programs and a focus on delivering value-driven initiatives.
Expanded Engagement: Activities like the Change Booth at the ACMP Global Conference in San Diego showcased the chapter’s commitment to innovative member interactions.
Community Impact: A new emphasis on leveraging the chapter’s collective expertise to serve local communities marked a defining theme for the year.
Looking Ahead to 2025
The event outlined exciting plans for 2025:
Personalized Member Experiences: Initiatives such as tailored communication and a New Member Welcome Kit aim to foster deeper connections.
Increased In-Person Events: Recognizing the desire for face-to-face interaction, the chapter will host events across Southern California, from San Diego to Los Angeles, ensuring accessibility for members in all regions.
Peer Learning Opportunities: Introducing the "Change Exchange" offers members a platform to share case studies and gain insights from peers in an informal, supportive setting.
Member-Led Activities: The chapter will pilot member-sponsored events, inviting the community to help plan and execute programming.
Board Member Highlights
The event featured introductions to the ACMP SoCal Board of Directors, each bringing unique expertise and passion. Their collaborative spirit continues to drive the chapter forward.
A Call to Action
Members were encouraged to contribute ideas, join upcoming programs, and consider board or committee positions to help shape the chapter’s future.
